Orals

The term "orals" refers to oral anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) compounds. These are synthetic substances derived from testosterone that are taken orally, typically in the form of pills or tablets.

Oral steroids have gained popularity among athletes, bodybuilders, and individuals seeking to enhance their physical performance or improve their physique. These compounds are known to possess anabolic properties, promoting muscle growth, strength, and endurance. They also have androgenic effects, which can contribute to the development of masculine characteristics.

One of the advantages of oral steroids is their ease of administration compared to injectable steroids. They can be taken orally, eliminating the need for injections. However, this convenience comes with some drawbacks. Oral steroids tend to have a shorter half-life compared to injectable ones, which means they need to be taken more frequently to maintain stable blood levels. Additionally, oral steroids are typically metabolized by the liver, which can cause hepatotoxicity if used in high doses or for prolonged periods.

Oral steroids come in various forms, including methandrostenolone (Dianabol), oxandrolone (Anavar), stanozolol (Winstrol), and many others. They are often used in steroid cycles, where individuals alternate between periods of using steroids and periods of abstaining or using other compounds to minimize the potential side effects.

It is important to note that the use of oral steroids for non-medical purposes, such as performance enhancement, is generally considered illegal and unethical in many sports and competitions. Misuse or abuse of oral steroids can lead to a range of adverse effects, including liver damage, cardiovascular problems, hormonal imbalances, and psychological effects.
